Majestic organ for wine ageing, our wine storehouse of barrels is the last stage where the wine is still living freely before being bottled for ageing. Born from the grape fermentation, the young wine needs to be worked during the wine making process before being refined and matured in tank or barrel. It will become adult only once this fundamental stage of its life ends, which will partly conditions its capability to evolve for years. Regular tasting and blending give rhythm to this period rich in instruction.
Vignerons Uni-Medoc is proud to own the biggest wine storehouse of barrels in Medoc area. With its 3,600 oak barrels, renewed each year for 1/3, our storehouse respects the Medocean maturing tradition, and at the time where technologies develop so fast, it is important to be able to rely on traditional knowledge as well.
